At RockBackBags, we understand that all vaulting boxes, even if installed correctly, may be deep or shallow. WHY? When they add a new layer of roll-out runway or even if they synthetic surface the runway, the box will be at least 13mm to 15mm deep. Or the ground around the runway sinks over the years, and you end up with a shallow box.

Joe Dial always measured the box to determine which poles he needed to use! Shallow vault boxes need a soft Pole, and deep boxes allow one to use a stiffer pole. Please do not leave it to chance; points are important. Sign up on your site with your address. We will send you a weatherproof sticker for the back of your pole at no charge.

Measure 8.8 inches from the bottom of the tip and place the label in place. When you go to a pole vault meet, place the pole in the box and see how deep or shallow the box is. When misses and makes will give your team the points to win the meet. This is so important to make sure you know which pole to select to make the bars.
